Whether you're managing a multifamily property, overseeing a commercial renovation, or coordinating a multi-site rollout, choosing the right flooring contractor is critical. Below are answers to some of the most common questions we receive about commercial flooring installation, project management, timelines, and nationwide service capabilities.

Company & Service Questions

What geographic areas do you serve?

While our core service area is the Midwest and Southeast, Superior Installations supports projects nationwide. Over the years, we have successfully completed flooring projects in more than 25 states and regularly travel to meet our clients' needs. If you have a project, we'll evaluate the scope and location to determine how we can help.

Do you handle both commercial and residential projects?

Yes. While our Pro Flooring division primarily focuses on commercial flooring projects, we also work closely with our partners at Home Depot to complete residential flooring installations of all sizes. Whether you're managing a business, multifamily property, or a single-family home, we have the resources to help.

Is there a minimum project size?

No. We work on projects of all sizes, from a single powder room to large apartment communities, office buildings, retail spaces, and multifamily developments.

Do you provide labor only, or can you supply materials as well?

We offer flexible solutions based on your needs. We can provide labor-only services, material-only services, or complete turnkey flooring solutions. Most clients choose our full-service approach because we provide access to quality flooring products, competitive pricing, and vetted installation crews.

Can you work directly with property managers, builders, general contractors, and business owners?

Absolutely. We have built long-term relationships with property managers, builders, contractors, and business owners for decades. Every project is assigned a dedicated point of contact who takes the time to understand your goals, timelines, and project requirements.

Do you provide project management and scheduling coordination?

Yes. Our goal is to make your project as simple and stress-free as possible. We coordinate scheduling, deliveries, labor, communication, and quality control so you can focus on running your business or managing your property.

Are your installers employees, subcontractors, or a mix of both?

Our installation network consists primarily of carefully vetted subcontractors. Every installer must meet our strict standards, including licensing requirements, insurance verification, and background checks before joining our network.

Are all crews licensed and insured?

Yes. Every crew working on a Superior Installations project is properly licensed and insured.

Commercial Flooring Questions

What types of flooring do you install?

We install virtually every type of commercial and residential flooring, including:

  • Carpet and carpet tile
  • Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT)
  • Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP)
  • Hardwood flooring
  • Tile flooring
  • Laminate flooring
  • Sheet vinyl
  • Rubber flooring
  • Specialty commercial flooring products

Our network includes specialists for each flooring category, ensuring every installation is completed by experienced professionals.

Do you specialize in any particular flooring types?

Rather than focusing on a single flooring category, we specialize in providing turnkey flooring solutions. Our team manages every aspect of the project, regardless of flooring type, giving clients a single source for all their flooring needs.

Can you complete flooring projects while businesses remain open?

Yes. We regularly work in occupied spaces and active business environments. Depending on your needs, we can:

  • Work after hours or overnight
  • Complete installations in phases
  • Install flooring by section or department
  • Coordinate around business operations
  • Minimize disruptions to employees and customers

Our team prioritizes safety, communication, and cleanliness throughout the project.

How quickly can you mobilize crews for a project?

Project timelines vary based on scope, location, and material availability. Some services can be scheduled as quickly as the next day. Most importantly, we commit to realistic timelines and work diligently to meet every deadline agreed upon during the planning process.

Can you support multi-site or regional rollouts?

Yes. As a Home Depot service provider for more than 35 years, we have built relationships with trusted installation partners across the country. We have successfully managed dozens of multi-site flooring programs and thousands of commercial flooring installations, making regional and national rollouts a core strength.

Do you remove existing flooring?

Yes. We regularly handle demolition and removal of existing flooring materials. Our team coordinates debris removal, disposal, and site cleanup as part of a complete flooring solution.

Multifamily & Property Management Questions

Do you work with apartment communities and multifamily properties?

Yes. We have extensive experience working with apartment communities, student housing, senior living facilities, condominiums, and other multifamily properties.

Can you complete flooring installations during unit turns?

Absolutely. We understand the importance of minimizing vacancy time and can coordinate flooring installations during unit turnover schedules to help get units back on the market quickly.

How do you minimize disruption to tenants and residents?

Communication and cleanliness are key. We work with property management teams to provide advance notice of upcoming work, maintain safe walkways, control debris throughout the project, and keep work areas clearly marked. Our crews clean continuously throughout installation rather than waiting until the end of the project.

Can you support ongoing flooring needs across multiple properties?

Yes. Many of our clients manage multiple properties and rely on us as their long-term flooring partner. We can support ongoing maintenance programs, unit renovations, capital improvement projects, and large-scale flooring replacements across entire portfolios.

Process Questions

What does the installation process look like?

Our process is built around speed, simplicity, and accountability. We handle every step, including:

  • Blueprint takeoffs
  • On-site measurements
  • Product recommendations and sourcing
  • Material ordering
  • Delivery coordination
  • Scheduling
  • Installation management
  • Quality assurance
  • Communication with site leadership
  • Billing and invoicing

What truly sets us apart is that you'll have dedicated contacts throughout the project. Rather than navigating a call center, you'll work directly with both an internal project coordinator and a field project manager.

How are project timelines communicated?

Your dedicated project team will provide regular updates throughout the project. Timelines are established during planning and communicated directly through your assigned project manager and field leadership team.

Who is my point of contact during the project?

You'll begin with a dedicated sales representative who helps develop your flooring solution. Once the project moves into production, you'll be assigned a project manager who serves as your primary point of contact throughout installation.

How do you handle quality control?

Quality assurance is built into every project. Our project managers conduct site visits, oversee installation progress, perform final walkthroughs, and verify that all work meets our standards before project completion. We also back our workmanship with a one-year labor warranty.

What happens if an issue arises during installation?

If an issue arises, our field manager immediately communicates with the customer and project stakeholders. We work proactively to resolve challenges while minimizing schedule impacts and keeping the project moving forward.
